Student Wellbeing and Counseling Center Current Use Gift Fund
The Student Wellbeing and Rice Counseling Center provides students with access to case management and therapeutic services, as well as crisis intervention. The Center also provides suicide prevention and mental health training for all members of the Rice community and faculty and staff are supported in assisting students. Expanding programs and creating systems in which students have more accessible access to care is crucial in not only providing comprehensive holistic services, but also to meet Rice’s core values of responsibility, integrity, community and excellence. At the same time, these services are more needed than ever, as colleges across the country (including Rice) are experiencing increasing need for mental health services among students.
